Imperial Prince Fushiminomiya Sadanori (伏見宮貞教親王)

Imperial Prince Fushiminomiya Sadanori (October 26, 1836 - December 16, 1862) was a member of the Imperial family during the late Edo Period. The twenty-first generation of the Fushiminomiya family. The sixth prince of Imperial Prince Fushiminomiya Kuniie. His mother was Hiroko TAKATSUKASA, the daughter of Masahiro TAKATSUKASA. His childhood name was Yorinomiya.

Upon retirement of his father Imperial Prince Kuniie in 1842, he inherited the Fushiminomiya family at the age of seven. He was adopted by Emperor Ninko in 1847, and given the title of Imperial Prince in March 1848 and named Sadanori. He celebrated his attainment of manhood to be appointed to Hyobushokyo (minister of ministry of military). He was appointed to Sanbon (the third rank of the Imperial Princes' ranks) in May of the same year and to Nihon (the second rank of the same) on December 10, 1862, but he passed away on 16 (in fact on 5) of the same month. He was 27 years old. His posthumous Buddhist name was Shinjissouin.
